MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) We are expecting two rounds of rain on Tuesday. The first round of showers will move through during the morning hours, around the morning commute, then we'll dry out throughout the afternoon hours. The evening will be fairly calm before a linear line of thunderstorms pushes through Tuesday night. Some of these storms could be severe.
As of now, I expect the line to move from north to south. Our northern counties will start seeing thunderstorms between 10 p.m. and midnight with the rest of us getting storms after midnight. The primary severe threats include large hail and damaging winds. Rain totals will range between 0.25-0.50" over the next 36 hours.
