FRIENDSHIP, Wis. (WMTV) – On Monday morning, Highway 13 was closed for a couple hours due to a structure fire, according to Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
Authorities said the call came in around 1:03 a.m. on Monday. A portion of Highway Highway 13 was closed as crews worked to control the fire. Highway 13 re-opened to traffic just before 8 a.m.
When crews arrived to the scene, the fire broke through the roof of the building and the structure was fully engulfed in flames.
Adams Fire District Chief Mike Rusch said 37 firefighters from four departments responded to the scene.
The fire was put out around 3:15 a.m. on Monday and the building is a total loss.
Chief Rusch said the business is closed on Sundays. No one was inside at the time and no injuries were reported as result of the fire. There was also no damage to surrounding businesses.
Authorities said there are no signs of arson and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
