Madison-based technology company SwanLeap ranked number one on the 2018 Inc. 5000 list for the fastest-growing company in America.
SwanLeap analyzes different factors and determines the fastest and cheapest way for manufacturers to ship their products. Some of these factors include the size of an order, weather conditions and fuel costs.
The company uses artificial intelligence and custom software platforms to decide the most economical way to transport goods and better manage a company's supply chain. SwanLeap clients save an average of 26.7% by using their services.
SwanLeap has experienced a massive 75,660.8% growth in sales from 2014 to 2017, according to Inc. 5000. CEO Brad Hollister says they aren’t just stopping there.
“This market is truly ready to be disrupted and we don’t see anyone better suited to do it than us,” CEO and co-founder Brad Hollister said.
Hollister says life wasn’t always this peachy. SwanLeap was actually created out of the collapse of his last company, Freight Access.
His prior company would allow manufacturers to bid on available shipping trucks. However, big companies just didn’t have the time to go through this procedure. The difference between Hollister’s previous failure and his current success is that SwanLeap found a way to make the process fully automatic by using artificial intelligence.
The Madison headquarters now houses over 50 employees. Hollister’s 12-year-old son also occasionally makes an appearance to help code and program.
SwanLeap was ranked No. 55 on the Inc. 5000 list last year. In 2017 the company made $99 million in revenue.
