TRAFFIC ALERT: Flooding causes DeForest road to shut down

DEFOREST, Wis. (WMTV)--- Water on the road has caused part of a DeForest road to be shut down.

The DeForest Police Department posted on their Facebook page on Thursday morning that Holum St. between Halsor St. and Cleveland Ave. is shut down. Halsor St. is also shut down north to Scott Dr.

The police department said, "We are gaining water front property quite quickly all over the Village."

The police department is asking all citizens not to drive through high standing water. If you must drive through standing water, use caution and drive slow.
