Teen attacked from behind, robbed on north side

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- Madison police said a teenager was attacked and robbed while walking on Northport Drive Monday night.

The attack happened just after 9 p.m. in the 1700 block. Police said several other teens ran up to the victim from behind and put him in a bear hug. They pulled him to the ground in a parking lot, and punched and stomped on him.

The suspects made off with the victim's Apple AirPods, according to police. The victim suffered bumps and bruises.

A passerby called police after witnessing the end of the attack.
