Making a Difference: Creating art and opportunities

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- 24-year-old Alex Haunty from Middleton uses a paint brush to create art, but also creates opportunities for others to enjoy the arts. That is why Haunty is this month's Make a Difference Award recipient.

Since 2011, Haunty has used proceeds from the sales of his artwork to buy nearly $50,000 worth of tickets and take hundreds of other young people with cognitive disabilities to Broadway shows at Madison's Overture Center.
