Two Wisconsin players win $50,000 in Powerball drawing

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV)--- A pair of Wisconsin ticket holders each won $50,000 in the latest Powerball drawing.

The Wisconsin Lottery said the winning tickets from Wednesday’s drawing were purchased in Marathon County and Washington County. Each player matched four of five numbers plus the Powerball. Odds of winning are 1:913,129.18.

The Marathon County’s winning ticket was sold in Wausau at a the Kwik Trip on Rib Mountain Drive. The winning ticket in Washington County was sold in Richfield at Mayfield Mobil on Mayfield Way.

Each winner has 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize in person at the Lottery’s office in Madison.

Each winning retailer will receive a $1,000 payout equal to two-percent of the winning prize amount.

The Powerball jackpot rolled over for the 22nd consecutive time. Saturday’s jackpot is at $495 million. This is the eighth highest in history.
