JANESVILLE, Wis. (WMTV) – Two children donated the profits they made from their lemonade stand over the summer to the Janesville Police Department.
According to the Janesville Police Department, they received a donation of $100 from two local children, Makenna and Maliya.
Police said the girls chose to donate to the police department because they knew they had a tough year due to the negative press regarding law enforcement and wanted to help.
In addition to the donation, the two girls created artwork for the department with assistance of their parents.
“We greatly appreciate he kindness Makenna and Maliya and will be looking for a perfect spot to hang our new artwork,” said the Janesville Police Department.
