Two men plead guilty for Town of Dane murder

DANE COUNTY, Wis. (WMTV)--- Two men charged in the death of a Town of Dane man have plead guilty.

25-year-old Jacob Johnson and 21-year-old Drew Luber both appeared in a Dane County courtroom on Friday morning.

Johnson and Luber both plead guilty to felony murder, party to a crime for the death of Dalton Ziegler. Luber also plead guilty to a count of disorderly conduct for an incident in August 2018.

Police said McKayla Tracy allegedly convinced Luber and Johnson to severely beat Ziegler back in October of 2018. They left him badly injured and alone after the beating leading to his death.

Court documents allege Tracy thought Ziegler was cheating on her.

The sentencing hearing for Johnson is scheduled for August 6. The sentencing hearing for Luber is scheduled for August 12.
