MADISON, Wis (WMTV)-- On a day to celebrate and honor people who died while serving in the armed forces, Monona celebrated with a parade.

The event has been held for more than 60 years, making it Wisconsin's largest and longest-running Memorial Day Parade. The 1.5-mile parade route included military color guard, marching bands and floats.

After the parade, multiple memorial ceremonies were held to honor those who lost their lives while serving in the United States armed forces.
