MADISON, Wis.(WMTV)-- The Wizard World Comic Con is happening in Madison this weekend. The three-day event is expected to entertain thousands at the Alliant Energy center.
In the event’s third year in Madison, there is no shortage of surprises. Wizard World spokesperson Jerry Maneli said the event is expanding each year with new exhibits, games, and artist, while also keeping the classics.
“If you’re a fan of anything in the realm of TV, movies, music, and art, anything that has to do with pop culture give it a shot. See what it’s all about and you’re going to run into something that you never expected," said Milani.
Milani said the goal is to ‘wow’ everyone who walks through the door. He then hopes people spend a few hours, maybe even the entire weekend, sifting through the hundreds of booths, and characters at this pop culture festival.
This weekend's presenters include Marvel Chairman Stan Lee, and local artist Jeff Butler who is a comic book illustrator, and Madison College instructor. They’re joined by dozens of other artist and performers.
