MADISON, Wis. (WMTV)-- Joseph Jakubowski was arrested early Friday morning in Vernon County near Readstown. Authorities say he was captured without incident. He appeared in federal court in Madison around 3 p.m.

Cameras were not allowed in the courtroom on Friday. When Jakubowski made his initial appearance, he did not make eye contact with anyone and only talked with his lawyer. The judge set dates for a meeting with the grand jury for April 19th. He'll have an arraignment on April 25th. The complaint charges Jakubowski with stealing firearms and silencers from the gun shop in Janesville. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of ten years in federal prison.

The Acting U.S. Attorney Jeffrey Anderson says he can not talk about the case in detail because this is an ongoing investigation. Jakubowski is facing three federal charges in Rock County for the burglaries.

There is a possibility of more charges.
