Remembering Kelly Nolan
Family and friends gather Saturday to say goodbye to Kelly Nolan. Police say the 22-year-old was murdered after disappearing from downtown Madison in June.
Family and friends packed Saint John the Baptist Church to honor Nolan and to celebrate her life.
Th UW-Whitewater student was gearing up for her senior year, but was home for the summer working in Madison. Nolan was missing for about two weeks before her body was found on June 23rd.
"They have come to great peace in that Kelly has been found," said Father Eric Sternberg. "Not the way they would have liked, obviously, that's where the grief comes in. They can have some peace that she is returned to them."
Friends and community members continued to support the family with hugs and other signs of sympathy. To help celebrate Kelly's life, big picture boards were on display at the church.
Police are still working to find a suspect in Kelly's death.
