3 cups oats
½ cup brown sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp. nutmeg
½ tsp. salt
1 cup milk
½ cup of (1) of the following: applesauce, mashed banana or pumpkin
1 tsp. vanilla
½ cup of fruit such as: chopped apple, diced pear, berries, raisins or dried cranberries
Directions1. Preheat oven to: 350°
2. Place oats, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in mixing bowl and mix together with a spoon or whisk.
3. Add the mashed/pureed milk, fruit, egg and vanilla to mixing bowl and stir well until all ingredients are moist.
4. Fold the fruit pieces into oatmeal mixture. Scrap mixture into greased baking dish and bake 30-35 minutes.
5. Serve yogurt with or on top of hot baked oatmeal
