1 ½ cups rolled oats
¾ cup sliced raw almonds
½ cup unsweetened coconut flakes
¼ cup dark cocoa powder
Pinch coarse salt
2 Tbsp. turbinado sugar
¼ cup melted coconut oil
2 Tbsp. maple syrup
1 tsp. vanilla extract
¾ cup dark chocolate chips
Coarse salt and turbinado for sprinkling (optional)
Directions1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees.
2. Toss the oats, almonds, coconut, cocoa, salt and sugar in a large bowl. Whisk the coconut oil, maple syrup and vanilla together. Set aside. Pour the liquids over the dry ingredients and stir to combine. Spread the granola on a large baking sheet. Bake for 50 minutes, stirring halfway through.
3. After 50 minutes, sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top of the granola and bake for an additional 5 minutes. Sprinkle with sea salt and turbinado sugar, if desired.
4. Allow granola to completely cool, and store in airtight containers or baggies.
