Badgers defeat No. 14 Iowa 70-66 in Big Ten opener

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- The Badger basketball team went on the road to Iowa to take on the No. 14 ranked Hawkeyes to open Big Ten play. They'll be coming home to Madison with a 7-1 record after a 72-66 victory.

D'Mitrik Trice led the way for the Badgers with 20 points as Ethan Happ gave a helping hand of his own, contributing a game-high 5 assists to go along with his 13 points. Happ fouled out with just minutes remaining in the second half.

Wisconsin now has the second-best overall record among Big Ten teams, just behind undefeated No. 7 Michigan. The Badgers next match up will be against Rutgers at the Kohl Center on Monday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m.
