Badgers eliminated from Big Ten Tournament

CHICAGO (WMTV) -- The Badgers couldn't pull off the upset against Michigan State in a Big Ten conference tournament match up at the United Center in Chicago on Saturday afternoon after a 67-55 loss.

Ethan Happ finally got Wisconsin on the board with a low-post bucket after the Spartans made three of their first four shots to lead 8-2. Happ broke Frank Kaminsky's school record of 153 career blocks with his fourth rejection of the opening half.

Cassius Winston hit Michigan State's sixth 3-pointer while the Badgers went 1-for-8 from the perimeter and were down 32-20 with 3 minutes left in the first half.

In the end, Michigan State won their seventh straight game over Wisconsin as the Badgers couldn't get the offense going. Happ's 20 points couldn't make up for the 2-19 three-point shooting.

The Badgers will await their seed when the brackets are announced on Selection Sunday.
