MADISON, Wi. Senior Jordan Hahn kept it consistent at the 10th Badger Invitational at University Ridge, shooting an even par 216 over 54 holes to earn a share of 11th place.
After a 72 (E) opening round, Hahn didn't let his play get away from him, shooting an impressive 70 (-2) in the second round, and a 74 (+2) final round to guarantee the senior another top-15 finish, the 12th of his career.
As a team, Wisconsin placed 10th with a 54-hole total of 895 (+31).
Sophomore Griffin Barela struggled on the final day of play shooting a 78 (+6), but his second round performance of 69 (-3) kept Barela in the top 35, finishing with a share of 32nd place.
Illinois State grabbed first place out of 12 teams shooting an 855 (-9), four strokes ahead of second place Kansas.
Thoughts From Coach Burcin:
"It's going to be really interesting to follow Jordan and see what he can do this year, the expectations and the thoughts on what these guys can achieve hasn't changed. This is just one week, this deal goes to June, everything is still out there for us."
"We will do some prep work on Thursday and Friday is the practice round, so tomorrow will be a good day for all of us to clear are head and reflect and be ready to go."
The Badgers play Saturday in Grove, Ill. at the Northern Intercollegiate hosted by Northern Illinois University.
