SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WMTV) -- When rumors started spreading that the Green Bay Packers were set to hire Matt LaFleur as the new head coach, someone decided to have some fun with the media frenzy.
Jeremy LaFleur, a physical education teacher in Sun Prairie, was with his kids when the news broke on Monday that Matt LaFleur was rumored to be the next head coach of the Packers.
Jeremy said one of his friends went on Wikipedia and edited Matt LaFleur's page to say he was the cousin of the new coach. The friend texted others a screenshot of the Wikipedia edit, which later made a reference to the character Peter LaFleur from the film "Dodgeball: An Underdog Story."
Within 10 minutes of the Wikipedia page being changed, Jeremy had a news station in Milwaukee asking him to be interviewed.
When Jeremy got another call from a news station, he called his friends back and asked who was playing the prank. Once he showed up to work the next day, Jeremy received even more interview requests.
"My friends got a really good laugh out of it. We were looking on Twitter and somebody wrote about me and said I was a brother," Jeremy LaFleur said.
Although Jeremy's friend that originally made the edits to Matt LaFleur's Wikipedia page changed the page back to it's original form, other people would go back and change it again.

"Being a teacher you have to teach the kids about honesty and so I had to be honest about it," Jeremy LaFleur said.
Jeremy said it would be great to be related to a member of the Packers staff, but he unfortunately is not. He thinks Matt LaFleur being hired is great, and hopes Aaron Rodgers is on board.
"Who knows, maybe I'll meet him someday and all will go well for the Green Bay Packers," Jeremy LaFleur said.
