MILWAUKEE (WMTV) -- Another sign Spring is on the horizon — Miller Park is prepping for Opening Day!
The grass at Miller Park is finally out again. Taking off the tarps is the unofficial start of the season for the grounds crew.
Thanks to last year's successful season, it's been a shorter off season than usual. However, the grounds crew came prepared.
"We do a lot of work in the fall. We make sure we don`t have a crazy amount of work because we never know what the springs are going to give us here," Michael Boettcher, Director of Grounds said.
The unseasonably cold start to March meant they had to turn on the heat to make sure the grass was ready. Opening Day at Miller Park is March 28 — when the Brewers play the division rival St. Louis Cardinals.
