GREEN BAY, Wis. (WMTV) -- Before joining the NFL the then known Indian Packing Squad handed their first and only lost to the Beloit Professionals.

The Beloit Professionals were better known as the "Fairies" because of their sponsor, Fairbanks Morse and Company.

At Lambeau Field is a tribute to the teams 100 year history in the Packers Hall of Fame. The exhibit recognizes the Packers' original 25 players in 1919. According to the Packers Team Historian, 14 of the 25 never played in an NFL game, so they've been largely overlook by history.

The Packers are older than the NFL by one year, and joined the league in 1921.
