UW Badgers beat New Mexico 45-14

MADISON, Wis.(WMTV) It's another win for the No. 5 Wisconsin Badgers. Saturday the football team beat New Mexico 45-14.

The team is now 2-0 for the season.

The UW game recap reports Jonathan Taylor ran for 253 yards and three touchdowns. Teammate A.J. Taylor also ran 134 receiving yards.

It also said New Mexico's quarterback, Tevaka Tuioti left the game in the second quarter with an undisclosed injury after taking a hit from UW outside linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel.

The Badgers had a strong offense, racking up a total of 568 yards. The school said this was the team's most since totaling 586 yards against Akron in 2016.

Wisconsin will finish its nonconference play on September 15 at Camp Randall. The Badger will play BYU and 2:30p.m. CT.
