$500K cash bond set for Janesville homicide suspect

ROCK COUNTY, Wis. (WMTV)--- A man accused of shooting and killing a Janesville man appeared in Rock County court on Friday.

According to court records, a judge set a cash bond of $500,000 for 39-year-old Lucas E. Stuhr of Green County.

Stuhr is accused of shooting and killing 41-year-old Clifford A. Grice of Janesville on Wednesday night.

Janesville police officers responded to a shooting in the 2600 block of Kellogg Avenue. Lt. Charles Aagaard of the Janesville Police Department said Stuhr shot Grice. Grice died at the scene.

Chief Moore of the Janesville Police Department said Stuhr and Grice had never met before the shooting, and that Grice was targeted for knowing Stuhr's ex-girlfriend.

Stuhr faces a charge of first degree intentional homicide.

Stuhr is scheduled to appear again in court on Jan. 29 at 9 a.m. for a competency hearing.
