Ambulance bursts into flames in Sauk County

SAUK COUNTY, Wis. (WMTV) Sauk County dispatchers confirm to NBC15 News that an ambulance caught fire Sunday evening near Baraboo.

Dispatchers say the initial call for the fire went out around 6:30pm in the southbound lanes of Highway 12 at Ski Hi Road. Those lanes were closed for nearly 2 hours as crews extinguished the flames.

Dispatchers say everyone was able to get out of the ambulance and no one was hurt. No word as to how that fire started.
