Extreme cold causes flight cancellations at Dane Co. airport

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV)-- The Dane County Regional Airport is open on Wednesday, but several flights have been canceled because of the brutal temperatures.

The flights include flights heading to and from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. The airlines include American and United.

According to United Airlines, they are reducing their schedule at O'Hare from Jan. 29 to 31. United Airlines has travel waivers in place through Feb. 1.

From 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, eight arrivals and seven departures were affected by the cancellations.
