MIDDLETON, Wis. (WMTV) -- Good news is ahead for Gilda's Club: After flooding in August, the Middleton clubhouse reopens for members March 4.
Gilda's Club Executive Director and CEO Lannia Stenz said more than 500 thousand gallons of water poured into the basement of the clubhouse during the flooding. Since then, the cancer support non-profit has been holding programming offsite during construction. Still, Stenz said it's been amazing to see the community show up when needed most.
"There have been so many silver linings within the challenge that we've had with the floods. The support from local businesses opening their doors and giving us the opportunity to offer support groups offsite within two weeks of the flooding was huge for us," said Stenz.
A grand reopening celebration is scheduled for March 14.
