WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. (WMTV)-- Hippos, lions, elephants, and giraffes fill a safari-sized float at the 92nd Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Kalahari Resorts and Conventions is debuting the float on Thursday in New York City. John Chastan, the Wisconsin Dells location's general manager is happy for the Kalahari to be a part of the holiday tradition.

" They came to us," said Chastan. "We were real excited when we found out about the opportunity. It's a tough parade to get into. You can't just walk in and say 'I want to be in the parade.'"

The float features a moving elephant head. 120 pounds of glitter were used to help the float shine.
NBC's "Today" previewed the Kalahari float along with other floats in the 92nd Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Tuesday morning. The parade airs on NBC15 beginning at 9:00 a.m.
