MADISON, Wis. (WMTV)--- Due to recent school closings, Madison students should report to school on Feb. 8.
In an email to families, Madison Metropolitan School District said they decided to use next Friday, which was formerly a staff-only day, as one of the make-up days.
MMSD said the Department of Public Instruction requires that students be provided a specified number of instructional minutes per year. There are four instructional days to make up so far this winter due to snow and cold. Several options are being explored to make up those days throughout the remainder of the school year.
MMSD said they will be providing additional updates soon letting families know how they plan to make up the remainder of the needed instructional days and minutes this year.
If you have any questions, families are asked to contact their school principal.
