Marquette County schools go into lock down after learning CIA school shooting tip

All Marquette County schools went into lock down Monday afternoon after the county’s sheriff’s office got a tip of a possible school shooting from the Central Intelligence Agency.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office said they received a complaint from the CIA’s Threat Management Department about a shooting in Westfield, Wisconsin.

The CIA in turn received the tip in an email on their website.

After learning this information, the Westfield School District immediately locked down all of its schools. At 12:30 p.m. Monday all Marquette County schools were released from lock down.

The Marquette Sheriff’s Office said the suspect was arrested. It did not describe who the suspect was or what the suspect attempted to do.
