Public Health searches for dog that bit man at Brittingham Dog Park

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- The Department of Public health is looking for information regarding a dog that bit a man on Thursday in the Brittingham Dog Park on South Broom Street in Madison.

According to the Department of Public Health the incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. when the victim was trying to separate a dog fight.

The biter dog is described as a brindle greyhound that was wearing a coat and was with an Asian female in her twenties.

Anyone who has information regarding the incident is asked to call the Police and Fire Dispatcher and ask for the animals services officer. If the animal is not located, it is possible that it may bite someone else. In this case, the bite victim may be required to complete a series of costly injections to prevent rabies.
