Sex offender to be released, reside in Portage

PORTAGE, Wis. (WMTV) -- A sex offender who has served his sentence will be released and is expected to live in the City of Portage.

According to the Portage Police Department, Timothy J. Braatz will be paroled when he reaches his maximum release date the week of Dec. 4. Braatz served a sentence for Second Degree Sexual Assault of a Child and Child Enticement.

Braatz is expected to live on the 200 block of East Mullet Street. He will be under supervision of the Portage Office of Probation/Parole.

Braatz has served his sentence and is not wanted by police at this time. This information enacted by the Sex Offender Registration and Community Notification Law is intended to enhance public safety, awareness and protection.
