CROSS PLAINS, Wis. (WMTV) -- A snow plow went off a road and landed on its roof in the Town of Cross Plains on Monday night.

According to the Dane County Sheriff's Office, emergency crews responded to the crash at 6:00 p.m. on the 4000 block of Barlow Road.

Authorities say the Town of Cross Plains snow plow truck was clearing snow and salting roads when it slid off the roadway. The truck came to a final rest on its roof and the driver needed to be extricated from the truck. The driver had minor injuries.

The snow plow truck will be removed with the assistance of cranes Tuesday morning during daylight hours.

Barlow Road was closed for 3 hours during the incident.
