MADISON, Wis. (WMTV)--- A jury has has found 60-year-old Daniel Lieske guilty of first degree intentional homicide in the death of Jesse Faber.
The jury started deliberating on Tuesday afternoon. A Dane County judge read the jury’s verdict in a Dane County courtroom on Wednesday afternoon.
Lieske claimed the shooting was in self-defense.
Authorities said Lieske shot Faber during a fight inside Lieske's home in January 2018. Lieske then hid Faber's body in a storage unit in Rio.
"This was life altering not only for our entire family who has been there through all of it with us and without them I don't think I would have made it," April Faber, mother of Jesse Faber said. "It's been a long year, a long time."
Lieske pleaded guilty on Jan. 2 to hiding the body of Faber. Meichelle Goss, Lieske's girlfriend, pleaded guilty in December 2018 to hiding a corpse.
"You'll never have complete closure," Dan Faber, Jesse Faber's dad said.
