MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- The KidWind Challenge drew in dozens of students to Madison on Saturday. It is a competition on creating the best engineer projects.
This year's theme was wind turbines.
"Things are going to happen in the future, and it's going to involve renewable energy. These kids are going to be well positioned to start the race running," Dick Anderson said.
Anderson helped organize the event. It is in it's second year.
Students spent the last six months working on their projects. One organizer said this is teaching kids skills that they can use for the rest of their lives.
