US 14 bridges in Black Earth open after being damaged by flooding

BLACK EARTH, Wis. (WMTV) -- The US 14 bridge replacement project has been completed Friday in Black Earth after being damaged by August flooding.

According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, the project to replace the two bridges is now open to through traffic.

In September, Governor Scott Walker approved a $2.8 million emergency contract to reconstruct the two bridges.

Work to replace the bridges over Black Earth Creek on the east and west side of the community began Sept. 14.
