MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Governor Scott Walker and his family will be hosting a public Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the Governor’s Mansion Sunday, November 25th.

The event starts at 4:30 p.m. at the Wisconsin Executive residence, located at 99 Cambridge Rd. in Maple Bluff.

In order to attend, participants must RSVP here.

On the Governor's website, Governor Walker writes “There is no better way to celebrate the start of the holiday season than to spend it with your family and friends,” he says.

“It is a blessing to be able to share our holiday traditions with so many Wisconsin families.”

Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable foods and winter clothing to donate to Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Department of Tourism’s Big Bundle Up Campaign.

“We love to share these traditions with our community and we look forward to having more families tour the residence this holiday season to see the beautiful decorations created by florists from throughout the state,” says Mrs. Walker.

Six florists and decorators from different areas of Wisconsin each decorated a different room within the residence.

The 2018 florists and decorators are:

JJ’s Acres, Woodruff
Impressions by Esther Fleming, Milwaukee
Avalon Floral, Eau Claire
Buds ‘n Blooms Design Studio, De Pere
The Bruce Company, Middleton
Edgewater Greenhouse, Portage
