Drowning, alcohol cited in La Crosse death

The final autopsy report on the death of University of Wisconsin-La Crosse basketball player Lucas Homan this fall says it was the result of cold-water drowning.

The report on Monday also says acute alcohol intoxication was a major contributing factor.

The manner of death has been ruled an accident.

The 21-year-old Homan's body was pulled from the Mississippi River October 2nd, and his blood-alcohol level had been put at 0.32%, or four times the legal limit in Wisconsin.

The autopsy report says tests for incapacitating drugs such as GHB were negative.
