Madison, Wis. --- Gamers are putting down their controllers and enjoying a blast from the past this weekend. On Saturday, Madison is playing host to the 3rd annual State Pinball Tournament.

Sixteen competitors have spent the last year accumulating points to qualify. The winner will advance to the national competition in Las Vegas in March.

Mike Seivert has been playing since he as a kid and started playing competitively in the last four years. "You get one machine and you play others. Then you add another one and another once, before you know you have 12 of them in your basement," said Seivert.

The tournament will be held at Schwoegler's Entertainment Center on Madison's west side.

Madison Pinball has worked to revive this classic arcade game around town. They currently have three locations: Pooley's, Schwoegler's, and Alt Brew. They have monthly tournaments and welcome everyone. The only cost to play is the coin drop.
